Fourteenth Sunshine [Video Post]

[Hinata is back at Unohana's Clinic. She's been seen to and bandaged and patched up, but from where she is lying on her stomach on the bed, one can see that the beautiful, purple butterfly wings that took up most of her back at the beginning of the week have been torrn to shreds.

The damage was heavy, and obviously, Unohana wasn't able to repair it all. There is still some dried blood flaking on the wings where minute tears are mending, and Hinata's face constrict with pain every time they flutter.

The kunoichi is gritting her teeth, apparently fighting back tears and failing when a sob finally escapes her.]

N-Naruto-kun ... W-Why can't I ... ever help anyone ?

[The feed switches off.]

[Hinata's eyelids flutter and she looks up slowly, shyly.]

[The moment takes him, and Akira finds himself pressing his lips lightly against hers, his eyes falling shut.]

[Hinata blinks several time, not really understanding how they got there, but ... well, on the one hand, she's too tired to be embarrassed, and ont he other hand, this is ... nice.

So while it is a bit difficult for her because Akira is so freakin' tall, she does ... answer to it. It's only a closed-mouth kiss, but it's the first one she was ever given, and it is given with such feelings that she wants to give some of it back.]

[Akira slowly breaks off the kiss. It's the first kiss he's ever had in life. If not for the situation being marred by shared trauma, it would have been perfect. He gently stroked her cheek, placing another kiss on her forehead.]

You're wonderful, Hinata. Not matter happens now or in the future, you're always going to be a part of me. I don't want to protect you because I think you're weak. I want to protect you, because a man always wants to protect the woman he loves.

[Hinata closes her eyes when Akira kisses her forehead, then sighs and leans against his chest.]

... Thank you.

Are you gonna' be alright?

I ... don't know. Yet.

[This made a lot of ugly things come back for her, and it's not any easier dealing with it the second time around.]

Then I'm gonna' stay here.
