OOC - What If?

What if Hinata had been born in the Bunke instead of the Souke? What if she'd been Hizashi's daughter instead of Hiashi's, and Neji was the heir of the Clan?

During the 'What If?' event, Hinata will have been born as a member of the Branch Family of the Hyuuga Clan. As all members of the Bunke, she will have received the cursed seal on her forehead as a child. She will have been assigned to protect a member of the Souke, in this case, Neji, Hiashi's eldest child and the heir of the Clan.

What this means in terms of character is that Hinata will be a lot less indecisive. She will not have had the pressure of performing to very high standards for her father and her Clan, and her skill level will be perfectly acceptable for the role she is assigned to, which is that of bodyguard/kagemusha.

Hizashi will have died as a result of Neji being abducted as a child and Hizashi serving as Hiashi's kagemusha. However, unlike Neji when he was put in the same situation, Hinata will bear no resentment to the Souke, believing that her father simply did his duty to them. She would have been very young when he died as well, so that it did not traumatize her as much as it did Neji in the actual version of the event.
